The moment we’ve all been waiting for: the return of Jose Mourinho.
As The Special/Happy One put it himself a few minutes ago, “Nobody likes preseason, nobody likes friendly matches. Everyone likes competition, so…here we are.”
We feel the same way, Mr. Mourinho.
Chelsea finished third in the Premier League last season, and Mourinho will look to repeat his feat when he managed at Stamford Bridge and won the league title twice, once on a record number of points.
Newly promoted Hull City will have their hands full with the Chelsea lineup, as Fernando Torres gets the start up front and young winger Kevin De Bruyne makes the starting lineup as well. Juan Mata, Demba Ba, and Romelu Lukaku all start the season on the Chelsea bench.
Tidbit: Jose Mourinho’s never lost at Stamford Bridge.
