With the two highly-regarded coaches excelling in Spain, Germany and Italy in the past, both are enjoying success early on in their first-ever campaigns in England.
But who has settled better?
With Chelsea top of the league and on a seven-game winning streak (they’ve conceded just one goal in that run and had six-straight shutout wins before facing Tottenham last week) you’d have to say Conte has the edge right now. That said, Guardiola and Man City have had plenty more games due their involvement in the UEFA Champions League (Chelsea fans won’t need reminding they aren’t in Europe this season) so that’s meant less time on the training ground for Pep to foster his ideology.
Taking all of that into account, just one point separates these two teams heading into the monster clash at the Etihad this Saturday.
In the latest edition of PST Extra Jenna Corrado and I discuss the two managers and also have the Sergio Aguero vs. Diego Costa debate.
