Bayer Leverkusen general manager Wolfgang Holzhauser has confirmed they’ve reached a deal for German striker Andre Schurrle to make a move to the Premier League.

“We have reached an agreement with Chelsea – they are going to buy Andre Schurrle” said Holzhauser.

The agreed fee, according to the Daily Star, is £20 million ($30.3 million) and will see Belgian youngster Kevin de Bruyne head the other direction for a one-year loan deal at Leverkusen.

The 22-year-old now must fly to London to complete the deal.

Schurrle scored 11 goals and assisted 9 more in 34 appearances for Bayer, although just 15 of those were starts, as they finished third in the Bundesliga. Their total of 65 points was just a single point behind Borussia Dortmund for second.

It remains to be seen what will happen with Fernando Torres, who improved during the Rafa Benitez months, but this move could help push Torres out of Stamford Bridge.
