Since yesterday’s comments by his agent, it hasn’t been a question of if striker Mario Gomez would leave Bayern Munich, but when and where to.
Now, we have a couple of possible destinations.
Tancredi Palmeri of Sky Italia is reporting Gomez has agreed to terms with Napoli and Fiorentina in the case either decides to make a viable offer to the Bavarians.
Palmeri says it would take a bid of €14-16 million to pry the 27-year-old from Bayern. He’s been in Bavaria since 2009, coming from Stuttgart for €30 million.
Gomez made 21 Bundesliga appearances this past season and scored 11 goals. He added 6 scores in the German Cup and 2 in the Champions League.
Yesterday, his agent Uli Ferber said “As far as I am concerned, the trend in the matter of Mario is definitely a transfer. He will be leaving Bayern Munich this summer.”
Earlier this week, Ferber denied talking with Napoli, said “We have never been discussing a transfer with Napoli. I am going to sort out the future of Mario Gomez in the next couple of days. Actually, I feel those next three to four days could see us get a clear idea about it.”
