Both Sunday’s early matches have seen quick starts, with Aaron Ramsey and Michu both grabbing goals in the opening five minutes.
For Arsenal, Mesut Ozil bagged yet another assist with his driving free kick parried by Stoke keeper Asmir Begovic, and Ramsey pounced on the rebound for the tap-in. The parry was a poor one from Begovic, who directed it in the area of three Gunners.
Swansea carried over their midweek success with a blistering start at Crystal Palace, as Michu firing a missile that deflected off the Palace netminder Julian Speroni. He had been involved in build-up play with Jonjo Shelvey and Wayne Routledge, and Routledge did well to direct the ball in traffic over to an open Michu.
The 1-0 leads for both teams are worrying for both Crystal Palace and Stoke who must now work from behind early.
