Arsenal 4-1 Norwich City – Recap

The Gunners were back to their irresistible best at the Emirates on Saturday, as Jack Wilshere’s stunning first half ‘team-goal’ proved. The Canaries just couldn’t handle Arsenal’s free-flowing movement and the North London side could’ve won by more.

Chelsea 4-1 Cardiff City – Recap

A tough start to the afternoon for Jose Mourinho’s men after Cardiff went ahead early following a defensive lapse from David Luiz. But you have to see Chelsea’s equalizer, utterly bizarre… After that they surged ahead in a dominant second half display, with Hazard, Eto’o and Oscar helping themselves to goals.

Everton 2-1 Hull City – Recap

A real battle at Goodison Park, as Everton went ahead early through Kevin Mirallas’ low drive but Hull fought back valianlty to equalize courtesy of Yannick Sagbo’s neat finish. But supersub Steven Pienaar jumped off the bench to net the winner with his first touch.

Manchester United 1-1 Southampton – Recap

Oh dear, oh dear, more dropped points for United and David Moyes, and honestly Southampton could’ve stole all three. The Saints leveled in the final minute, after RVP had given the Red Devils a first half lead. What is going on at Old Trafford?

Newcastle United 2-2 Liverpool – Recap

Scintillating game to start the day of PL action, as Liverpool twice fought back to seal a draw at St. James’ Park. The game turned on its head just before half time as Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa was given a straight red and Liverpool were awarded a penalty, which Steven Gerrard scored, after his foul on Luis Suarez. However plucky Newcastle held on for a battling point.

Stoke City 0-0 West Brom – Recap

A bit of a battle at the Britannia Stadium as both teams cancelled each other out. West Brom were unlucky to not be awarded a penalty kick in the second half, but apart from that, goalmouth action was at a premium.

Swansea 4-0 Sunderland – Recap

The Swans exploded into life in the second half, as Gus Poyet’s first job in charge of Sunderland went up in flames. Three goals in seven second half minutes did the damage for Swansea, plus two own goals from the Black Cats certainly helped. Ouch.

West Ham United 1-3 Manchester City – Recap

A comfortable win, in the end, for Man City as Sergio Aguero struck twice to seal Manuel Pellegrini’s first away win in the Premier League. City dominated large swathes of the contest and David Silva orchestrated West Ham’s downfall with a majestic display.
