Chelsea are aiming to get back to winning ways in the Premier League, as former player and assistant manager Steve Clarke brings his West Brom side to West London.
Jose Mourinho was hugely critical of his sides performance in their 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United last week. In midweek wholesale changes saw the Blues complete a comfortable 3-0 Champions League win over Schalke, with Mourinho rotating his massive squad to perfection.
The Baggies have already prospered on the road this campaign, shocking Manchester United 2-1 back in September, however they’re massive underdogs against Mourinho’s Chelsea who have never lost a home league game during the Portuguese manager’s time on charge.
For Saturday’s clash Mourinho has starts with Eden Hazard after he was disciplined by his manager for traveling to a foreign without permission… then losing his passport. The Belgian star apologized and is duly back in the staring lineup. Samuel Eto’o starts up top, while Brazilian winger Willian also gets the nod.
West Brom start with an attack-minded lineup as Stephane Sessegnon and Shane Long will look to cause Chelsea distress.
Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Ramires, Lampard; Hazard, Oscar, Willian; Eto’o
West Bromwich Albion: Myhill; Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell; Yacob, Mulumbu; Amalfitano, Sessegnon, Brunt; Long.
