Aron Johannsson, the Icelandic-American who only recently gained FIFA approval to put his talents into a U.S. national team shirt, is clearly quite proud of his U.S. national team achievements.
As the United States moved its camp East, from Scotland into Austria for its upcoming friendly, Johannsson was clearly still thinking of the first goal he scored for the United States of America … which was last month!
Johannsson’s debut goal was in the third minute of stoppage time on Oct. 15, the game-winner over Panama in a 3-2 victory at Estadio Rommel Fernandez in Central America. That was in the United States’ final World Cup qualifier.
But it is obviously still on the young man’s mind. How do we know? Because he Tweeted out his Instagram memory of the moment just this afternoon – which was this evening in Austria, but never mind that.
