There was a time when DaMarcus Beasley was an afterthought to many American fans, a man without a home after Rangers fortunes turned and he only found four appearances for Hannover 96. For country, he barely appeared in the 2010 World Cup and then basically disappeared from plans.
But now he’s been resurgent in Jurgen Klinsmann’s camp, was named captain for this summer’s Gold Cup and has played well as a dynamic force on both ends of the pitch for Puebla in Liga MX.
Take a look at his goal today for the Mexican club. Beasley starts the play and then takes a smart angle before turning on the boosters to race into heading range and nod the ball home (Should’ve been saved? Maybe).
