WATCH: Miralem Pjanic scores Messi-esque goal vs AC Milan

Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic is one major reason why Roma is having a monstrous season.

With five goals and six assists, but more importantly an 88% pass accuracy, he’s the engine that makes Roma’s attack go.

Possibly his best statistic this season is his fabulous 60% take-on success rate, with 68/114 take-ons successful. For a central midfielder who isn’t known for his defensive strength, that’s his most dangerous feature.

With Roma having secured Champions League play next year by a massive margin but likely unable to catch Juventus for the Serie A title, they’re playing AC Milan this weekend with very little on the line.

That didn’t stop Pjanic from doing what he does best, as he put Roma up 1-0 just before halftime by beating half the AC Milan side and eventually slotting past Christian Abbiati for the score.

The sorry defenders he left in his wake include Italian international Ricardo Montolivo, Ghanan midfielder Sulley Muntari, and imposing French center-back Adil Rami.

The game is still 1-0 at halftime at the time of this post. Enjoy the majestic beauty of Pjanic’s goal here:
