There were conspiracy theories, outright criticism, death threats and plaudits of and for Jurgen Klinsmann when the 2014 World Cup 23-man roster was revealed on Thursday evening.
Most of them revolved around the cutting of Landon Donovan. Here’s a selection that caught our eyes from people in the media, soccer world and other:
