After returning home from the World Cup in Brazil, the entire U.S. national team squad have been treated like heroes.
TV appearances galore, private parties in LA, Miami and other big cities in their honor, receiving standing ovations at Major League Soccer stadiums… these dudes are getting the proper treatment. Bravo.
Adding to the list of honors for USMNT stars, Geoff Cameron threw the first pitch at Fenway Park on Friday night, as the U.S. and Stoke City star was honored by his beloved Boston Red Sox. Plus he was given the freedom of his hometown, Attleboro, MA, earlier this week.
How cool is that?
The New England native is a huge Red Sox fan and was led out onto the hallowed turf by Jonny Gomes to show his stuff. Watch Cameron fulfill one of his lifelong dreams in the Vine below. The U.S. players have certainly won the respect of the entire American sporting community after their run to the last 16 this summer.
Here is Cameron throwing a strike.
