A club statement and Twitter announcement by Club Queretaro’s owner, Olegario Vazquez, have detailed that Brazilian veteran Ronaldinho has elected to sign with the Liga MX side after becoming a free agent in July.

“It pleases me to share with you that from today, the star Ronaldinho is Gallo (a Queretaro player),” the tweet reads, translated to English. “He strengthens a great team. The fans deserve it.”

Ronaldinho had been rumored to have talked to MLS and various clubs around Europe, prior to finalizing this deal to Mexico.

The 34-year-old truly established his legend known in Spain, making 145 appearances for Barcelona from 2003-2008, amassing 70 goals.  A standout on the Brazilian national team, he’s played on the international side since 1999, starting when he was just 19 years old.
