Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal admits that he has interest in former Red Devils playmaker Cristiano Ronaldo, but thinks it’s a pie in the sky situation.
Ronaldo recently admitted he has a desire to play for Manchester United again, and that admission sent gossip columns squealing with delight.

Confronted with the rumors, van Gaal responded by saying the media cooks up a lot of things… but he wouldn’t rule out making a move for the 29-year-old Portuguese star.
Asked about re-signing the Portugal international forward, Van Gaal said: “It is possible.
“Players like Ronaldo give a lot of extra to a team, but I don’t think Real Madrid shall sell him.”
…
Asked whether he could bring Ronaldo back to United, Van Gaal said: “Yes, but it’s always a discussion in the papers, and I don’t think the media shall buy Ronaldo.”
So it’s a lot more speculation, and clearly not the last of it until at least the January transfer window. A Ronaldo/Di Maria reunion at Old Trafford would certainly have many salivating at the prospect of Manchester United returning to the Premier League’s apex.
