On Wednesday night FC Dallas took a huge step towards making the MLS postseason for the first time since 2011.
FCD forward David Texiera put the hosts ahead early on but Lamar Neagle equalized for the Seattle Sounders in the second half. With just over 10 minutes to go, Dallas went ahead as Texiera grabbed his second of the game and a late strike from Blas Perez sealed the 3-1 win.

Oscar Pareja’s men now have a nine-point lead over the fifth placed Portland Timbers in the Western Conference, and are 11 points clear of sixth place Vancouver with four games to go. Dallas travel to Vancouver on Saturday Oct. 4 and a win will all but secure a place in the playoffs.
