Chelsea remain unbeaten after they eased past Aston Villa by winning 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Oscar scored early in the game to set Jose Mourinho’s men on their way and second half goals from Diego Costa (his eighth in six games) and Willian tied things up.
Villa never got going and are now in fifth-place, while Chelsea stay top with five wins from six to open the season.

With less than 10 minutes on the clock, Chelsea were 1-0 up as Branislav Ivanovic slotted in Willian down the right and the Brazilian saw his initial shot saved before pulling the ball back for Oscar to slot home.
The rest of the first half played out with Chelsea keeping the ball and Villa setting up two banks of four to try and thwart the Blues. Willian forced USMNT ‘keeper Brad Guzan into a smart save at his near post, while Aly Cissokho hooked an effort just wide for Villa. Costa was sniffing around the box but saw his header saved by Guzan just before the half time whistle blew.

It took Costa less than 15 minutes into the second half to get on the scoresheet, as the Brazilian headed home Cesar Azpilicueta’s perfect cross to make it 2-0 as Chelsea eased through the gears.
Oscar was played in and dinked his effort past Guzan but as the ball trickled towards the net, Cissokho slid in and cleared the ball off the line.

Chelsea weren’t to be denied a third goal, as Costa cut in from the left and saw his shot deflect into the path of Willian who tapped home to seal the victory as Villa lost 3-0 for the second-straight game and Chelsea made it five wins from six so far this season.
