Crystal Palace beat Leicester City 2-0 at Selhurst Park on Saturday, as the Eagles are four games unbeaten since Neil Warnock took charge.

Palace’s second-straight win came courtesy of a two goals in quick succession at the start of the second half, with Fraizer Campbell’s tidy flick and Mile Jedinak’s header the difference.

With the three points Palace are now up to eighth in the league on eight points while Leicester have the same number of points but slide down to ninth.

The Foxes forced Julian Speroni into a fine stop early on as  then Palace managed to clear the ball as a goalmouth scramble ensued.

As the half wore on, the home side settled down and almost took the lead in the 27th minute as Joe Ledley’s goalbound header was hacked away by Leicester’s Esteban Cambiasso on the line.

Palace continued to push for the opener as Jason Puncheon forced Kasper Schmeichel into a fine stop just after the 30 minute mark. As half time arrived, Leicester gained control of the game as Jamie Vardy’s shot from the left just evaded David Nugent at the back post.

Two minutes later Palace were 2-0 up as Puncheon’s free kick from the left was headed home by Australian skipper Jedinak. Leicester’s boss Nigel Pearson would have been disappointed to see his side concede at two consecutive set piece situations. The rest of the game played out with Leicester pushing to get back in the game but Palace were good value for their win.
