The Southampton Saints continue to shine, this time adding to the suffering of enemy Harry Redknapp and his crew of Queens Park Rangers in a 2-1 game at St. Mary’s.
Redknapp, the former Saints manager, could only watch as Graziano Pelle canceled out Charlie Austin’s wonderful goal with a brilliant moment of his own, adding to Ryan Bertrand’s early second-half goal.
The Saints are up to second in the table with 13 points, while QPR remains in the relegation zone with four points from six matches.

QPR was forced into a 11th minute substitution by an injury to Sandro, who was replaced by Henry.
But the Saints were the ones providing early power, with Dusan Tadic at the heart of the offense. As Harry Redknapp faced relentless vitriol from the St. Mary’s crowd, Southampton poured forward (but couldn’t find the net).

Morgan Schneiderlin cam closest in the 45th minute, but his shot from around the penalty spot was curled low and wide of goal.
Bertrand gave the hosts a goal they deserved in the 54th minute when he was on the receiving end of a slick backheel pass from Sadio Mane. It was 1-0 and QPR was in even more trouble.

Yet they escaped, at least for a moment, through absolute wizardry from Austin. The striker used his right foot to flick a ball to himself and bury a goal in the 66th minute.
But look out! A gorgeous bit of aerial combination play found Graziano Pelle flying through the air with an overhead goal for the highlight reels. Two minutes after equalizing, Redknapp’s QPR were again trailing.
