On Monday Stoke City host Newcastle United (Watch live on NBCSN, 3 p.m. ET and online via Live Extra) to the Britannia Stadium in what promises to be a ding-dong battle in the Potteries.

Stoke have lost both their home games this season, while Newcastle have failed to win any of their opening five matches.

Pressure is building on Newcastle boss Alan Pardew after recent comments from Magpies owner Mike Ashley. Pardew’s side have won just two of their last 15 games and fans continue to protest as they want to see their manager fired.

As for Stoke, Mark Hughes’ men have beaten Manchester City this season, their only win, but looked good in stages away at Queens Park Rangers last weekend in a 2-2 draw. They will be hoping that Monday is the perfect time to face a Newcastle team in turmoil.

In team news Stoke make one change as Marc Muniesa replaces Erik Pieters while Newcastle are unchanged, keeping Papiss Cisse on the bench as he continues to return from illness.
