Manchester United’s Ander Herrera suffers broken rib to add to woes

Manchester United is just not catching any breaks this year, excepting those to bones..

With Wayne Rooney suspended three games for kicking Stewart Downing over the weekend, midfielder Ander Herrera joins a list of 10 Red Devils on the injured list with a broken rib suffered in the win over West Ham.

Obviously the injury doesn’t exactly lend itself to a timetable, and it’ll come down to Herrera’s healing and pain tolerance as to when he’ll be able to return.

From the Associated Press:

United couldn’t say on Tuesday how long Herrera will be out.

The injury forced Herrara, an offseason signing from Athletic Bilbao, to be substituted in the 74th minute.

He is the 10th United player to miss action because of an injury.

A tough break, indeed (pun absolutely intended).
