The long-held tradition of championship teams making their way to the White House took a Kansas City turn on Wednesday, and the President responded by having some fun with French favorite Aurelien Collin.
U.S. president Barack Obama lauded the Sporting KC organization and the place they call home, saying that something special is going on in Kansas City.
“As soccer continues to grow here in the United States, it does so in large part because of the great example of dedicated fans in Kansas City,” Obama said.

He then turned his attention to clothing boutique owner and fiery defender Aurelien Collin, admiring his style and saying he’d dress like him once he’s done with his presidential term.
