Angel Di Maria is the man to finally pull Manchester United in front as he buried a layoff from Juan Mata for a wonderful finish and a deserved lead over Everton.
With the home side pressing much brighter at Old Trafford, Rafael delivered a 27th minute cross into the box from the right flank. It was short of his attackers, but Phil Jagielka could only steer it across the box to the feet of Juan Mata.
In the place of the suspended Wayne Rooney, Mata could have taken a shot himself, but he knew instantly to play in Di Maria, and the Argentine burst onto the ball and ripped a curling effort past Tim Howard into the top corner.

It’s a deserved lead, as both sides have equalled half of the possession but United scored with their eighth shot of the match while Everton have yet to even attempt an effort on goal.
All of United’s attackers have put in a good showing thus far, with Di Maria, Falcao, Robin van Persie, and even Mata have been solid up front.
Even the back line, which has been shaky this season, has done well. 19-year-old Paddy McNair has been charged with marking the towering figure of Romelu Lukaku, and has held the Belgian striker to just 16 touches, all out wide on the flank. Lukaku has yet to receive the ball in the box.
