After their 2-1 win over Everton, Louis van Gaal praised his goalkeeper David de Gea for a fantastic performance, but the manager still has questions about his team’s performance.

Manchester United needed goals from Falcao and Angel Di Maria to pick up all three points, and faced a nervy final few minutes as Everton came ever so close to scoring, only kept out by De Gea’s blinding performance.

Van Gaal says he hoped to save his team’s organization in the second half when he brought on James Wilson and Marouane Fellaini, but it wasn’t successful despite the substitutions.

The failure to stay compact meant Everton forced De Gea into a penalty save at the end of the first half as well as a pair of brilliant dives as time wound down at the end of the match.
