Along with three first-half yellow cards (and probably more that should have been handed out), the managers weren’t exempt from the chippy play.
After Arsene Wenger became incensed at a challenge by Gary Cahill, the two came together in the middle of the sideline and began shoving each other, requiring the fourth official to intervene.
It remains to be seen if the two will face disciplinary action after the match, but both survived to remain on the sidelines after referee Martin Atkinson gave each a talking to and that was it.
At the end of the game, Mourinho walked straight down the tunnel and didn’t shake Wenger’s hand. We haven’t heard the last of this.
