International roundup: Suarez returns, Falcao scores, Bravo sets record

There were plenty of fixtures aside from the USMNT’s 1-1 draw against Ecuador and the Euro 2016 qualifiers, including the return of one of the world’s best finishers.

Saudi Arabia 1-1 Uruguay
Drawing against the Saudis was certainly not the way Uruguay wanted this to go, but a 90th minute equalizer burned the return of Luis Suarez from a nine-match ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup. Suarez did shoot the ball that bounded off the post before hitting Hassan Muath Fallatah and going in for an own goal.

Colombia 3-0 El Salvador
The Coffee Makers, however, did as expected in a rollicking Red Bull Arena win over visiting El Salvador. Radamel Falcao scored, with Carlos Bacca adding a brace in the win. James Rodriguez and Falcao both were dangerous all day, with few chances coming for the Central American side.

Chile 3-0 Peru
Claudio Bravo is now the most-capped player in Chile history, marking international appearance 3-0 with a clean sheet on home soil. Former Cardiff City man Gary Medel recorded a brace, while QPR’s Eduardo Vargas also scored.

UAE 0-0 Australia
Tim Cahill is missing the Red Bulls match against Toronto FC for this? Ugh. A dreary affair couldn’t find a goal for the 73rd ranked hosts nor their 84th ranked visitors.
