Another day, another rumor about Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have already been linked with the 19-year-old England international, as he continues talks with Liverpool over a new contract at Anfield.

Sterling has scored three goals and added two assists in his first seven Premier League games this season and has been a standout performer for Liverpool. With Brendan Rodgers being relaxed about Sterling’s contract situation, the youngster is in line to receive a significant pay rise following two, um, sterling seasons in the PL. However, Liverpool may not have the same financial clout of a PSG, Real Madrid or Chelsea.
According to a report from the Daily Express, Liverpool have offered Sterling a five-year deal worth $160,000 a week. However, Sterling and Liverpool are still said to be far apart in agreeing a new deal with the young winger reportedly wanting more money. That same report from the Express in the UK suggests that Jose Mourinho and Chelsea are monitoring the situation and are keen to swoop in with a $77 million bid for the Jamaican-born winger.
Sterling’s pace, skill and incisive runs make him well-suited to the PL and last season he formed a great partnership with Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez as Liverpool finished second in the PL, with the diminutive QPR youth produce scoring 10 goals in 37 appearances. With Sturridge signing a new five-year deal, Rodgers has recently revealed that he’s relaxed about Sterling signing a contract and believes it will happen, but these rumors continue to persist.
Will Chelsea’s plans to add Sterling to their incredibly strong squad throw a spanner in the works as Liverpool aim to keep their brightest young talent?
