Jose Mourinho hailed the performance of his Chelsea side after a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Blues lost away at Palace 1-0 last season at a pivotal point of the season but dug deep this time to win and make it sevens victories from their first eight games of the season as the West Londoner are still unbeaten.

In a feisty derby which saw two red cards just before half time, Mourinho’s men always had that extra bit of class and were able to turn things up a few gears to seal the win.
Brazilian playmaker Oscar curled in a beauty for the first, then Cesc Fabregas scored a simply stunning second after two intricate give-and-go’s on the edge of the box.
Mourinho is probably still salivating over that goal, as he said the following to reporters after the match,
“My team had a fantastic performance. From minute one we did what we wanted to do, have the ball, use the ball and control the game,” Mourinho said. “After that comes the red cards. And 10 against 10 with the qualities we have was even easier for us. The second goal was a scandal. It is unbelievably good! Against Burnley we scored a goal (Andre Schurrle) which I thought would be our goal of the season but this is just as good.”
Chelsea are still unbeaten and face Manchester United away next weekend.
Many pundits and fans are getting a little carried away as whispers of “can Chelsea go the whole season undefeated?” can be heard if you listen carefully.
Last season the Blues were unbeaten against the top four but it was slip-ups against Palace, Villa and Sunderland which cost them the Premier League title. So far this season they’ve negotiated tricky away days against the smaller teams with consummate ease.
Can they go the entire season unbeaten? Who knows. But we will certainly have a lot of fun watching them go for it.
