Premier League Saturday recap: Aguero notches four goals, Southampton demolishes Sunderland


This Saturday was no short of exciting Premier League contests, as fourteen teams faced off in seven games, with headlines of Sergio Aguero’s four goals and Southampton’s dismantling of Sunderland.

Manchester City ended up defeating the Tottenham Hotspur 4-1, largely in part to the Argentine striker’s scores, while only Christian Eriksen mustered a goal for the Spurs.

Southampton, supplemented by two own goals, absolutely trounced Sunderland, as Graziano Pelle totaled a brace among several footballers recording individual scores.

Arsenal drew Hull City, 2-2, in a unfavorable result for the Gunners and Arsene Wenger, while the surprising West Ham  side gained and kept a lead against 19th place Burnley.

Chelsea edged Crystal Palace, 2-1, due to Cesc Fabregas wonderful strike in 51st minute, and Everton cruised past Aston Villa at Goodison Park, brining some comfort to a rocky beginning of the Premier League season.
