Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert saw his team fall to its fifth straight shutout defeat, remaining goalless in 531 minutes. They’ve fallen from a top four table position all the way down to 15th.
But Lambert thinks they played well, so they have that going for them, which is nice.
“I think we dominated the game,” Lambert told reporters after the 2-0 loss to QPR, “but until you put the ball in the net you won’t win games.”
Cutting edge analysis from Paul Lambert.
“You’ve got to score, we’re a clinic in that. We just need that finishing touch.”
Lambert did say he doesn’t believe the game showed a lack of confidence, but they conceded a pair of “really poor” goals and needed to be “more clinical.”

But he wouldn’t budge when asked on how he treated the players. “What I’ve said in the dressing room stays there.”
