As Real Sociedad struggle towards the bottom of the table in La Liga, the club is openly searching for a new manager.
Step up, David Moyes?
The former Everton and Manchester United boss has been linked with a possible move to Real Sociedad if the club chooses to usher in a new manager.
Sociedad is currently coached by Jagoba Arrasate, but have only earned one win in nine La Liga matches to start the season. Sitting in 17th place, club president Jokin Apperibay has said that Arrasate knows his job is on the line.
It is true that we are working on finding other alternatives and possibilities. I have spoken about that with the coach (Arrasate), who knows that already.
A club in this situation looks at alternatives and possibilities in case things happen and situations get more difficult.”
Along with Moyes, it is reported former Spurs’ boss Juande Ramos and one-time West Brom coach Pepe Mel are also on the club’s managerial shortlist.

Moyes has been without a job since being sacked by Manchester United in April. After taking over for Sir Alex Ferguson, Moyes endured a tumultuous campaign which saw United have their worst finish in Premier League history as the Scot was let go with four matches remaining.
It would be interesting to see how Moyes’ coaching style would translate into the Spanish game. He would also have to accept the reality that he would be going from a world-class club at Manchester United to a team that could be relegated into Spain’s second division.
Real Sociedad take on Malaga next weekend, and one more loss could make these reports a lot more realistic.
