The German international has been with Real Madrid since 2010, making over 100 appearances for the Spanish giants. But so far this year, Khedira has only seen action in three La Liga matches, all as a substitute.
Khedira has seen his starting role in the midfield taken over by his fellow German teammate Toni Kroos, who came to the Bernabeu this summer from Bayern Munich. Teaming with Luka Modric in the center of the pitch, Real has won seven of their first nine La Liga matches while scoring a ridiculous 33 goals.

Although Khedira has rarely seen the pitch, manager Carlo Ancelotti said he still has plans for the midfielder.
Khedira and (Asier) Illarra are important players to be used during the season. I cannot think Kroos and Modric will play all season in this position. They will be useful and I have total confidence in them.”
With Khedira’s contract with Madrid up at the end of the season, it is likely he will try to make a move during the January transfer window. Since the summer, rumors have been swirling about the German making a move to the Premier League.
The latest reports out of Spain pen Manchester United as a favorite to sign Khedira, saying the Red Devils are ready to offer “significant” wages.
Then again, there have also been reports that nearly every major club in Europe has their eyes on the German, as transfer rumors know no boundaries.
