Round 10 of Premier League play saw two matches this Sunday, as Manchester City won its fourth straight derby over Manchester United while Tottenham scored two goals in the final ten minutes for a come-from-behind win over Aston Villa.

In the weekend’s marquee matchup, Manuel Pellegrini’s men painted Manchester blue with a 1-0 win over crosstown rivals Manchester United. The match opened at a fierce pace, with both teams clearly energized by the nature of the rivalry.

Unfortunately, two foolish yellow cards saw United center back Chris Smalling sent off before halftime, forcing Louis van Gaal to alter his game plan and try to manage playing a man down.

Sergio Aguero continued his superb form for City by netting his tenth goal of the season, tops in the Premier League. Down a man and a goal, United rallied late in the match and nearly earned a draw, only to see Angel di Maria’s shot tipped wide by the fingertips of Joe Hart. Manchester remains blue as United drop to tenth on the table.

At Villa Park, Paul Lambert’s side finally found the scoresheet when Andreas Weimann put the Villans ahead in the 16th minute. The goal ended Villa’s scoring drought as the club hadn’t found the back of the net since September 13th.

The second match of the day saw a second red card, as Christian Benteke was sent off after a skirmish with Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason. Without their top striker, Villa had trouble creating offense as Spurs pushed on against ten-men. Nacer Chadli knotted the score at one in the 84th before substitute Harry Kane scored off a free-kick in the 89th minute to steal three points for Spurs.

Week ten of Premier League play wraps up tomorrow as Crystal Palace take on Sunderland. You can watch the match live at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN or online via Live Extra.
