Charlie Austin and Sergio Aguero have both scored goals that may have been outside in a wet and controversial match at Loftus Road that met the halftime whistle at 1-1.
Austin had two goals ruled out in a span of one minute early in the match. The first he was almost grievously offsides, but the second came when Joe Hart took two touches of a free kick and it went to Austin.

The striker finished it, but Hart’s protesting of his own mistake took the goal off the board. Unreal.
The 21st minute found one that would count, as Austin darted onto the end of a pass from Claudio Vargas and hammered it home. It was close to offside, but his shooting leg was on and perhaps he was owed one. QPR 1, Man City 0.

Yaya Toure came close to evening the score when his shot sailed over the right side of the goal, but Sergio Aguero found the equalizer less than five minutes later. Man City defender Eliaquim Mangala played a ball from his own half that a close-to-offsides Aguero collected with two juggling touches before settling it with his arm, moving to the left and firing past Robert Green. No handball was called, and things were leveled in the 32nd minute.

Mauricio Isla picked up a yellow for fouling Aguero on the edge of the 18 in the 37th minute, and the ensuing free kick from Toure carried over the crossbar.
Hart made two stunning saves in the late stages of the half, though the second was offside. Austin was the half’s biggest threat, and could’ve had a trio of goals under the right circumstances.
