On Saturday Liverpool welcome Chelsea to Anfield (Watch live, 7:45 a.m. ET on NBCSN, online via Live Extra) as the Reds aim to turn things around after four games without a win.
>Liverpool’s manager Brendan Rodgers is under-fire after resing several ker players such as Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling for the midweek trip to face Real Madrid in the Champions League. Liverpool are currently seventh in the standings, while Chelsea arrive on Merseyside in first place and are the only unbeaten team in the PL. Add in the fact that Jose Mourinho’s side ruined Liverpool’s title hopes at the end of last season with a fiery victory at Anfield and this should be a cracker.
In team news Liverpool make plenty of changes as Gerrard, Henderson, Lovren, Sterling, Johnson and Balotelli are recalled after being rested for the clash against Real Madrid. Chelsea start with Diego Costa up top, as Mourinho also brings Cahill, Oscar, Azpilicueta and Ramires back into the team.
