Week 11 of Premier League play wrapped up with four matches this Sunday, from South Wales to the Stadium of Light.
Gus Poyet’s Sunderland team looked like they could hold on for back-to-back wins after Seb Larsson put the Black Cats ahead with a bending free kick, but Everton were awarded a late penalty as Leighton Banes finished from the spot as the match finished in a 1-1 draw.

Tottenham’s struggles continue as they dropped points at home in a 2-1 loss versus Stoke City. Bojan scored his first Premier League goal for Stoke City in the sixth minute with a great individual effort and Jonathan Walters added another as the Potters move to ninth on the table. Nacer Chadli tallied late for Spurs who continue to look for results under Mauricio Pochettino.

Newcastle continue their run as they picked up their fourth straight win and now sit eighth on the table. Ayoze Perez put the Magpies ahead with a back-heel finish that will surely be up for goal of the season. Fabricio Collocini doubled their lead as the Newcastle skipper finished off a header to give Alan Pardew’s side a 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

Swansea City secured a massive victory at home as they came from behind to defeat Arsenal 2-1 at a rain-soaked Liberty Stadium. Alexis Sanchez continued his scoring ways as he put the Gunners ahead in the 63rd minute, but Garry Monk’s side continued to battle relentlessly. Gylfi Sigurdsson equalised for the Swans with a brilliant free kick into the top corner and substitute Bafetimbi Gomis scored just two minutes after entering the game to secure three points for Swansea.
