Zlatan had been sidelined with a heel injury since September, but featured as a substitute after coming on for PSG in the 66th minute.

The big Swedish striker immediately made an impact as his size and strength make him one of the hardest strikers to match up against defensively. Although he didn’t find the scoresheet, PSG fans will be delighted to have the pairing of Ibrahimovic and Cavani back on the pitch together.

Lucas Moura put PSG ahead in the first half before Edinson Cavani finished off the match with a goal in the 85th minute. Cavani has been outstanding for PSG as he has been the go-to man during Zlatan’s absence. With his strike partner now back in action, Paris Saint-Germain will pose a massive threat both in France’s Ligue 1 and in the Champions League.

Through 13 games, PSG remain undefeated with seven wins and six draws. Even without Zlatan in the lineup for most of the season, PSG has scored 25 times while also boasting the stingiest defense in Ligue 1.

The top of the table in France remains very tight, with only six points separating the top-six spots. With a healthy Zlatan, PSG will be keen to defend their title as the best in Ligue 1.
