Klopp on Premier League: “If somebody will call me, then we will talk about it.”

Borussia Dortmund mastermind Jurgen Klopp has long been linked with some of the bigger jobs in the world. Barcelona and Manchester United are among the suitors who’ve reportedly come calling for the 47-year-old over the past few years.

And while the BVB gig is pretty good in itself, Klopp has watched as some of his best players have either skipped town for rivals Bayern Munich (Robert Lewandowski and Mario Gotze) or been linked with move every window (Mats Hummels and Marco Reus).

Klopp has spoken of his interest in the Premier League dating back years. He said once his English gets better, he’d be willing to come over to the Premier League. His English is better now, it seems.

From beIN Sport:

Asked by BT Sport’s SportsHUB programme about working in England, he responded: “I think it’s the only country where I should work, next to Germany, because it’s the only country I know the language a little bit and I need the language for my work.

“If somebody will call me, then we will talk about it.”

Klopp has been at Dortmund since 2008 when he arrived from Mainz, and would likely have his choice of jobs should Dortmund let him walk. BVB is struggling in the Bundesliga, giving up a lead today to only pick up a point, though they are playing well in the UEFA Champions League. The Premier League would love to have him overseeing a club.
