Six changes for Hull City was matched by six for Spurs as both midfields look quite different.
Nacer Chadli misses out with an injury, and Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has replaced him with Erik Lamela, who had been riding the bench for the better part of the Premier League season. Moussa Dembele also enters the starting lineup in the middle.
Pochettino has also beefed up his attack, as Harry Kane starts alongside Roberto Soldado with Emmanuel Adebayor still out.
Both teams need a result, with Spurs falling to Stoke City and Newcastle in their last three matches, while Hull fell to Burnley last weekend.
Hull City manager Steve Bruce has brought Nikica Jelavic back into the side, as well as former Newcastle chance creator Hatem Ben Arfa.
