Elsewhere Group C is wide-open as Zenit, Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco can still win the group or miss out on the last 16. Work that one out… We also lost a few teams on Wednesday, as the Europa League or total obscurity beckons.

Below you will find recaps on all eight games, as things are set up rather nicely heading into the final matchday of the group stages.

Atletico Madrid 4-0 Olympiakos

Atletico surged into the last 16 of the UCL as a hat trick from Mario Mandzukic stole the show, while Raul Garcia got the other. Olympiakos now face showdown with Juventus in their final group game as both teams aim to make the last 16.

Malmo 0-2 Juventus

Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez scored for Juve in Sweden as Malmo’s Champions League adventure was ended by the Italian champions. Juve now know a win or just a point at home to Olympiakos will seal their route into the last 16.

FC Basel 0-1 Real Madrid

That man Cristiano Ronaldo notched his 71st UCL goal to join Raul as the competitions second-highest scorer in history, as Real continue their 100 percent record. Basel now face Liverpool at Anfield in a winner takes all clash.

Ludogorets 2-2 Liverpool – RECAP

The Reds were so close to grabbing a crucial win in Bulgaria but Terziev headed home late on to deny Brendan Rodgers’ side their first win in five. After conceding an early goal to Dani, Liverpool fought back with goals from Rickie Lambert and Jordan Henderson putting them ahead. Despite a late equalizer, Ludogorets crashed out of the UCL and Liverpool now know a win at home to Basel on Dec. 9 means they will be in the last 16. Simple as that.

Zenit 1-0 BenficaRECAP

Andre Villas-Boas’ side are still alive after a crucial win thanks to Danny’s late goal in a freezing St Petersburg. Zenit have seven points and face Bayer Leverkusen away in two weeks time. As for Benfica, it’s Adeus to the Lisbon side who are out of the UCL.

Bayer Leverkusen 0-1 Monaco

This group is wide open as Monaco beat Bayer in Germany after  Lucas Ocampos’ goal. Leverkusen are top on nine points but Monaco are second on eight and Zenit are third on seven. Any of those three teams can still win the group.

Arsenal 2-0 Borussia DortmundRECAP

The Gunners are through to the knockout stage for the 15th straight season! Yaya Sanogo and Alexis Sanchez scored in either half to lead Arsenal past a poor Dortmund side at the Emirates, as Arsene Wenger’s men sealed qualification to the last 16. If Arsenal beat Galatasaray in their final game and Dortmund lose to Anderlecht, the will finish top of Group D.

Anderlecht 2-0 Galatasaray

Fine win for the Belgians who will not go any further in the UCL but secured themselves a spot in the Europa League as Turkish giants Gala were undone by two goals from Mbemba Mangulu did the damage in Brussels.
