It’s showtime for Ronald Koeman’s Southampton. How will they do under the bright lights?
During Week 13 of the Premier League season, four presumed top four contenders will go head-to-head in a bit of a Separation Sunday — sorry, Hold Steady — as Southampton hosts reigning champions Manchester City at 8:30am ET (NBCSN and online via Live Extra) before Everton travel to Tottenham Hotspur (11am ET, NBCSN and online via Live Extra).

Southampton vs. Manchester City (830am ET NBCSN and online via Live Extra)
With Chelsea’s stumble at Sunderland, these two teams will get a chance to close the gulf between their sides and Jose Mourinho’s Blues. For Saints, however, it’s a major litmus test. Yes, they’ve beaten some good teams and defied expectations, but when they come at the king, they best not miss. City will want these three points as well, and will be buoyed by their stunning comeback against 10-man Bayern Munich in UEFA Champions League play this week.
Everton vs. Tottenham Hotspur (11am ET NBCSN and online via Live Extra)
The winner would be two points from the top four, while a loser would be almost as close to the drop zone. While neither team has legit fears of the Championship, Spurs need to finally build some momentum under former Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino. Meanwhile, Tim Howard and Everton would much rather be in the UEFA Champions League next year than another Europa League run.
It all awaits us Sunday.
