The New England Revolution’s remarkable rise toward the top of the Eastern Conference is 90 minutes away from being complete, but New York stands in their way (Watch live at 3pm ET on NBCSN or online via Live Extra).
Buoyed by the signing of Jermaine Jones, the wizardry of Lee Nguyen and some big saves by goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth, a draw or better against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday will land the Revolution in the MLS Cup final.
After their 2-1 loss at home last weekend, the Red Bulls will need a two-goal win or a one-goal win in which they score more than two goals. There will be no Bradley Wright-Phillips for New York. He’s suspended for picking up two yellow cards in the playoffs, putting Tim Cahill into the Starting XI.
Kevin Alston is the only new starter for New England, as Chris Tierney moves into the midfield for the injured Kelyn Rowe.
