Someone’s booking themselves a place in MLS Cup 2014 tonight as the Seattle Sounders host the LA Galaxy in the second leg of the Western Conference Championship (9:20 pm ET).
More than 50,000 are expected at CenturyLink Field where we’ll find out who hosts the New England Revolution in next Sunday’s final (3 pm ET). The Galaxy hold a slim 1-0 aggregate lead. Temperatures are currently in the mid-30s and expected to dip into the 20s overnight, a far cry from the sunny Los Angeles skies of last weekend’s first leg.
The big team news is that midfielders Osvaldo Alonso (hamstring strain) and Lamar Neagle (personal matters) return to the starting lineup for Sigi Schmid‘s Sounders after missing last week’s game. Bruce Arena makes two changes to the Galaxy starting 11 as well — Dan Gargan for AJ DeLaGarza (hamstring strain) at right back and Leonardo for Tommy Meyer at center back.
