A hectic Tuesday around the Premier League saw plenty of goals fly in, as a full midweek slate is taking place in England’s top-flight.

Manchester United and Liverpool’s resurgence continued, as they both won. Elsewhere Swansea, Aston Villa and West Ham were victorious, while Newcastle and Burnley drew.

Manchester United 2-1 Stoke City – RECAP
United made it four wins on the spin as goals from Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata sealed the win. Steven N’Zonzi equalized for the Potters and late on Mame Diouf had two great chances cleared by the Red Devils. Louis van Gaal’s side are grinding out wins.
Leicester City 1-3 Liverpool – RECAP
Two wins on the spin for the Reds as Leonardo Ulloa put Leicester 1-0 up as the ball pinged off the post and hit Simon Mignolet before going in, but the Foxes crumbled as Adam Lallana equalized then goals from Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson made it 3-1. Liverpool are now up to eighth.
Swansea 2-0 Queens Park Rangers – RECAP
The Swans left it late but finally scored twice through Ki and Wayne Routledge as QPR have now lost every single one of their away games. Robert Green kept them in the game throughout, but the Swans outclassed the R’s and are up to sixth in the standings.
West Bromwich Albion 1-2 West Ham United – RECAP
West Brom went ahead through Craig Dawson’s header but the Hammers came roaring back as goals from Kevin Nolan and James Tomkins before the break sealed the win. Sam Allardyce’s side are up to fifth, while Alan Irvine’s Baggies’ have now lost four on the spin and are just above the relegation zone.
Crystal Palace 0-1 Aston Villa – RECAP
A tight game down at Selhurst Park went the way of the Villains, as a specatcular first half goal from Christian Benteke sealed their first win in 10 PL matches. Palace pushed hard for an equalizer, but it never arrived. Huge win for Villa, who are up to 12th, while the Eagles have had their wings clipped as they sink to 15th.
Burnley 1-1 Newcastle United – RECAP
Great few weeks for Burnley, who are now four games unbeaten and took the lead against Newcastle through George Boyd. However the Magpies equalized in the second half through Papiss Cisse and neither team could find a winner late on.
