Hull City and West Bromwich Albion played out a dour 0-0 draw at the KC Stadium on Saturday, as both teams remain in plenty of trouble at the wrong end of the table.

West Brom’s Graham Dorrans had an early penalty kick saved by Alan McGregor, while Hull struggled to break down a stubborn Baggies defense throughout. Both teams were lacking in confidence as West Brom are now without a win in five and Hull haven’t won in eight.
Neither team created a real clear cut chance, as Hull slip into the bottom with 13 points from 15 games, while West Brom are on 14 points and are just two points above the drop zone.

Dorrans missed an early penalty kick for the visitors as McGregor dived to his left to save Dorrans’ effort in a battle between two Scottish internationals.
After that neither team got a stranglehold on the game as half chances for David Meyler and Abel Hernandez came and went for Hull. In the second half Ben Foster kept out Hull as patient build up from the right saw Stephen Quinn free in the box but the ginger midfielder saw his header well-saved by Foster down low.

Hull looked more likely to score but with 20 minutes to go McGregor made a great save from Craig Gardner’s free kick as West Brom looked to seal all three points. However, that was as close as anyone came as bother Steve Bruce and Alan Irvine had to settle for a point in Yorkshire.
