MLS roundup: Reo-Coker among those finding Waiver Draft home, Olave traded

After making 100 appearances for two Premier League clubs, Nigel Reo-Coker is on his third MLS club in under a year.

The former West Ham United and Aston Villa man is headed to Quebec after Montreal selected the 30-year-old midfielder first overall in Wednesday’s waiver draft.

Reo-Coker made 44 appearances for Vancouver and another nine for Chivas USA after coming over from Ipswich Town in 2013.

Also chosen in the waiver draft were another pair of Goats: Leandro Berrera is off to San Jose, while Bobby Burling is off to Colorado.

Then there was the expansion draft. Orlando City did alright, but New York City knocked it out of Yankee Stadium.

There was a trade as well. After losing Chris Wingert and Ned Grabavoy in the MLS expansion draft — not to mention the trade of Nat Borchers to Portland, RSL brought a familiar face home.
