VIDEO — Arsene Wenger: “It’s very nice to get support from the crowd”

Speaking after his side’s 4-1 victory over Newcastle United, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was thankful for the support he received from a portion of the Emirates Stadium crowd (above video).

The legendary Frenchman was adamant, though, that while it’s nice to hear words of encouragement rather than the negativity he was subjected to following last week’s defeat to Stoke City, the team and the manager’s job is still to win games and that that’s the best way to make the fans happy.

Wenger also heaped loads of praise on 21-year-old Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was a terror during Saturday’s victory, and the entire team’s mentality to bounce back with a pair of quality results after last week’s disappointment.
