VIDEO: Ronald Koeman says too many mistakes, not punishing opponents costing Southampton

Following his side’s 1-0 defeat to Burnley on Saturday, Southampton manager Ronald Koeman lamented the mistakes his team once again made and said “not punishing opponents” for their own mistakes his cost the team during its recent struggles.

Following Saturday’s results, Southampton have earned just one out of a possible 15 points their last five game, following a run in which the first-year manager’s side dropped just three of a possible 27 points in nine games. The Saints found themselves suddenly in second place before the current five-game winless run.

Despite the poor results, Koeman praised his team’s continued performances, insisting that not much has changed since they were flying high and scoring goals galore.
