It’s officially the biannual time of year that is silly season in the world of transfer rumors, but plenty whispers will become verifiable noise by the time the January window is done and dusted.
There are rumors of Adnan Januzaj moving to Real Sociedad on loan for a reunion with David Moyes, not to mention the juicy talk of Jozy Altidore to the Bundesliga, and plenty more involving clubs in the Premier League and elsewhere.
Could out-of-favor AS Roma defender Ashley Cole be headed back to London, only to a different big city club? The Daily Mail says Cole to Crystal Palace is a distinct possibility come January, so prep an extra wide lens for the team photo.

When rumors of Mexican World Cup hero Guillermo Ochoa leaving Malaga for elsewhere in Europe popped up last month, we were quick to speculate that Liverpool could be a spot for ‘Memo’. The Metro says Ochoa has agreed to go to Anfield on a $4.7 million deal.
And Liverpool’s ailing defense could get a fix via Barcelona, says the Metro. In demand right back Martin Montoya may be third on the depth chart at the Camp Nou, but Liverpool is among a host of clubs interested in the 23-year-old. And he apparently wants to go to the Premier League. His buyout clause is about $25 million.
The Reds won’t be done there, addressing their striker depth with Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette. Also 23 years old, Lacazette had a mere 16 goals in 18 appearances. He’s been a long-term target for Newcastle amongst other teams.
And The Daily Mirror has some gossip regarding Arsenal, who could be spending an awful lot of dough to bring in Napoli midfield wizard Marek Hamsik and Roma powerhouse Mattia Destro. So… yeah, more attackers for the Gunners.
