It’s been a tough season for Leicester City.
Sitting in last place in the Premier League with only 10 points through 16 matches, the club was dealt another blow as manager Nigel Pearson was suspended and fined from the FA following an altercation he had with a fan on December 2nd.

Towards the end of Leicester’s 3-1 loss to Liverpool, Pearson was seen getting into a verbal spat with a fan, leading to an investigation by the FA.
Pearson has refused to publicize what exactly was said between himself and the fan, but it was enough to warrant a one-game touchline ban and a fine of over $15,000 from the FA.
While Pearson said he was just protecting his players in the altercation, he upset many when he refused to apologize for his actions, which could have played a part in the punishment handed down by the FA.
If the club’s form hadn’t already angered fans enough, Pearson alienated himself even more when he questioned the supporters’ loyalty, saying “maybe they need to stay at home.”

After stunning the Premier League with a 5-3 win over Manchester United in September, Leicester City hasn’t won a match, with two draws and nine losses in their past 11 matches.
Pearson is set to miss Leicester’s match at Upton Park this weekend, a tough battle for the Foxes as they face a West Ham side that currently sit fourth on the table. If he chooses to appeal the FA’s decision, he would be allowed to manage until the appeal process ends.
