Leicester City’s Premier League struggles did not find respite at Upton Park, as Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing scored to lead West Ham United to a 2-0 win on Saturday.
The Hammers are now a point behind Manchester United for third in the Premier League, while Leicester is dead last.
The Foxes are six points back of safety and share the worst goal differential in England’s top flight (minus-14).

Andy Carroll worked his way into a wide-open look near the penalty spot just inside the 23rd minute, only to blast the ball over the bar.
But redemption came quickly when Paul Konchesky played a thoughtless back pass into no man’s land, and Carroll ran onto the ball before touching the ball past an on-rushing Hamer.
Alexandre Song was the target for several boots, and that earned a pair of first-half yellow cards for Leicester’s Vardy and King.

The Hammers went up 2-0 in the 56th minute when Sakho won a long ball down to Downing, and the Foxes allowed him a touch and left-footed shot from just outside the box. The powerful strike was nearly unstoppable for Hamer.
